James Parsons MA (Oxon), FRCO, LRAM
James is well known both as a recitalist and in several capacities associated with organ education. Now Head of Student Development at the Royal College of Organists, he had previously spent twenty five years directing and developing Oundle for Organists (a movement which he founded alongside Oundle International Festival), to become a significant and influential movement in the emerging careers of hundreds of young organists.
In addition to his teaching commitments with St Giles, James is Visiting Organ Tutor at Birmingham Conservatoire, and has accumulated a wealth of teaching experience conducting masterclasses at universities and conservatoires here and in the USA; he teaches and examines for the RCO, contributes to Organists’ Review, and for over twenty years was on the staff of Oundle School, latterly as Director of Music.
James teaches in London, City (only occasionally, please check availability), East of England, Oundle and Cambridge (availability: Tuesday to Sunday, 0900-2000).
