Gerard Brooks

Gerard is an experienced recitalist and recording artist and an examiner for the Associated Board and the Royal College of Organists. His principal teachers were John Webster, Susi Jeans, Daniel Roth and Nicolas Kynaston. He was the first recipient of the Forsyth-Grant/Hurford Travelling Scholarship from the Royal College of Organists which he used to further his interest in the French Romantic School, and he specialises in French repertoire and improvisation. He has made ten compact discs on the Priory label and is currently recording the complete works of Eugène Gigout: the first volume of the series was an Editor’s Choice in Gramophone magazine.

Gerard is Director of Music, Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, and also Curator Organist at St. James, Clerkenwell.

Gerard teaches in London, Clerkenwell or West End
